Are there any non-outlook email clients which can connect to an exchange mailbox? Not imap and not imap-4?

I have a need to “pop” my mail from one exchange server (email box) and send it somewhere else. The admins do not allow IMAP connections to these boxes, so it has to really be an “exchange connection”.

Right now I have to leave an outlook client opened to pull the mail off. Is there another client which can do this?
Or perhaps a perl library for working with exchange servers?
Anything which will return control to me?

An exchange accounts you could try setting up rule in to another account the only exchange accounts you could try setting up rule in outlook to retrieve mails form an exchange servers support only way to another account that is the only way to retrieve mails form an exchange servers support only way to automatically forward it somewhere else as in to another.
